Hi again. So one of the things that made me think about starting a blog on this subject was a commercial I saw recently for steamed vegetables. The woman asked 'why hasn't someone thought about this before?' and then there's a flashback to a meeting where they liked the idea for the vegetables, but they decided to go with the Rockin' Flowers instead. It made me think of one that my brother used to have.

These were awesome! They'd move around in their pots and were very big for a time. I used to steal it from my brother when he wasn't home. I don't know what ever happened to them. I suppose they just got lost in time like such other fads as pet rocks, among others. Does anybody else remember these?

Let's get this Started!

So I've had the idea for a long time to start a blog about memories. About days gone by. I've always been pretty nostalgic. This blog will contain lots of different things. Things about where I grew up, toys, fads, clothing, games, anything really, that I grew up with, and also vintage movie/music/tv show reviews.

It'll be a running commentary on days gone by. A blog you can come to, and just have a good time poring over things you may remember, and things you didn't think anybody else would remember. I'm open to suggestions, comments, and anything else you want to throw my way.

So with that lovely introduction behind me, I hope that you tune in tomorrow for the beginning of many fun times to come.
